The OptimiserThe OPTIMISER has arrived.
Greenpower's own demonstrator truck fitted with the Bi-Fuel Emulator (now known as the Optimiser) is now fully operational and available for loan to interested potential customers.

Introduction
For many years, it has been apparent that injecting a small amount of LPG into a diesel engine can give spectacularly improved results [improved miles per gallon, better power and improved emissions]. What has proved difficult, however, has been consistently delivering improved performance in all drive cycles, weather and loads.

Product
The OptimiserThis is where Greenpower has developed [with the aid of a DTI grant, a top engineering university, the UK’s leading automotive systems developer along with some of the most talented engineers in the business] a product which CAN and DOES deliver this LPG/diesel fuel mix consistently – delivering better power, economy and emissions at all times and in all drive cycles. Greenpower has been able to do this by focusing on the injection of the two fuels – LPG and diesel – and developing a patented invention to manage this accurately and consistently in all driving situations. Precisely how this works can be explained by reference to the attached diagram .

The DFE is the prototype of the Optimiser, a product that can truly optimise the performance of your vehicle.

Performance

  1. Initial indications are that the following performance can be achieved: 1. consistent fuel cost savings of 14.5% [i.e. about GBP 6,500 for an average annual truck fuel bill]

  2. Torque improvement throughout the range

  3. Significant emissions reductions [i.e. LEZ levels for many vehicles]
