The Safe Alternative...
The automotive use of LPG has an excellent safety record. LPG is stored under pressure and therefore the vehicle's tank is much stronger.
Indeed an LPG tank can survive a much greater impact than either a petrol or diesel tank.
LPG pressurized fuel tanks have been developed to such a high standard that they can withstand the equivalent of a three tonne direct impact. This is equivalent to ten times the damage a steel or plastic petrol tank can take.
The Bi-fuel system fitted to your truck automatically defaults to diesel only in the event of any malfunctions in the LPG system.
It uses four normally-closed solenoids to control the flow of gas and includes safety features such as an exhaust temperature probe;knock sensor as well as monitoring the vehicles own temperature and oil monitoring systems.
Both the equipment used and the fitting quality we require have been checked and certified by an LPGA official consultant. In addition to this a safety review has been carried out by Ricardo Engineering to ensure conformity with OEM standards.
All installations are carried out by recognised LPGA approved gas technicians who are also fully trained diesel fitters and/or automotive electricians.
To give total peace of mind, every conversion comes complete with an independent, insurance backed 12 month warranty which covers the kit and any consequential damage to the engine or drivetrain caused by the operation of the gas or as a consequence of its failure thereof.
